Eaton's Viking Outboard Motor Site

My Viking on dipslay at the 2014 AOMCI Meet in Tomakawk WI.

Eaton's Viking Outboards were manufactured by several companies over the years. First sold in 1933, the 4 horse power opposed twin was built by Evinrude Motors. These motors were the first to sport the “Eaton's Viking” name, which emerged as the stores brand. In the post war era The Outboard Motor Corporation or OMC which came about from the merger of Evinrude, ELTO and Johnson motors during the depression began producing off brand motors through their Gale division. Eatons sold Gale built motors manufactured in Peterborough Ontario through to 1964 . Eatons began to market Chrysler built motors when the OMC closed their Gale division in 1964.
